Afterschool coding classes are available to some classes each year. This year some of the 5th class boys joined a weekly coding club. They were introduced to programming through Scratch.

ScratchProgramming.pngScratch is a free online tool that gives young people a better understanding of how games and applications work. It is easier to use than traditional programming languages as it consists of graphical blocks which snap together.

Through Scratch, children have the opportunity to write programs, which are a list of commands that make a game or animation work. There is endless scope for using creativity and imagination when designing their game, app or movie.
